Newborn photography education can be overwhelming. I’m all about having systems and workflows in place to keep things simple and effective. Having a posing workflow is super important to creating consistent results. And when you have consistency, your clients know what to expect from you. And when your clients know what to expect from you, they give you their money because they trust you! See how that works? So today, I want to share my in home lifestyle newborn workflow with you.
I start here and do family portraits. Everyone on the bed and loving on baby! The portraits grandma wants and the candid’s mom wants!
Here is where I do break outs and get individuals with baby. Mom in the glider looking lovingly at her new baby. Dad standing by the window and thinking about what the future will hold with his son or daughter. Siblings laying on the floor in front of the crib with baby.
My famous phrase I use once we move to the living room is “get comfortable…however that looks for you.” I want to give them permission to engage in ‘real life’ and capture this moment as real as I can.
It really is this simple, friends. When you have a workflow, you know what’s coming next and can utilize your time best. I hope my lifestyle newborn workflow helps you for your next session!
