I’m so excited to share Beckham’s first birthday session on the blog today! It was SO cute! But first, I wanted to talk about the best time to book a first birthday session!

The Best Time to Book a First Birthday Session

This is one of the most common questions I get! I always recommend my clients to book 3 weeks before their birthday! This gives plenty of time to do the session, edit and deliver the gallery. Then enough time to order any pictures you want to display at the birthday party! We live in a digital age but I LOVE when clients still print their pictures to display! And what better way to celebrate your sweet baby’s first year than by printing newborn and first birthday pictures to display at their party?!

Beckham’s Rookie Year

Beckham’s mama picked such a cute theme for his first birthday session! He loves football, dancing, and his mama! We started with an outfit to honor his love for football. He rocked it, obviously. The light blue outfit looked so sweet with his precious blonde hair. He was on the move the entire time so we had to throw the stool in there to get him to stay still for longer than two seconds!

Next, we did some timeless pictures in just overalls. Because how cute are babies in nothing but overalls?!

And finally, the moment he had been waiting for…..the CAKE!

I feel the need to point out that it’s very hit or miss on if the kiddos actually dive into the cake. Beckham was HERE FOR IT!!! Look at that face.

I’ve been capturing Beckham since he was a newborn (pic for reference) and it brings me so much joy to watch him grow in front of my lens. He’s turned into such a cool dude and I love getting to capture it!
