When people ask for tips to increase their bookings, I always ask them what their marketing looks like. Evaluating your marketing strategy can give you both insight on what’s performing well and also what you need to work on! Read on to find 3 quick tips for marketing your newborn photography business 🙂
I always try to use the word mama when I can because that’s who I’m marketing to. For instance, I’ll begin a post with things like “hey mama!”, “are you a mama who x/y/z”, “mamas due in June- this is for you!” When you get specific, you’ll catch the attention of your ideal client which is one of the most important things to do when you’re marketing!
Read the difference between the following two potential posts:
“Hey, mama! Are you due in June? If so, I have a special deal for you! DM me for details!”
OR
“Hey Mama! I’m completely booked for May! If you’re due in June be sure and contact me ASAP if you haven’t booked your newborn photographer because availability is going super quick!”
Which one would you act on immediately? For me, it would be the second one!
For me it would look something like this:
“Hey, Mama! The next 2 people who book my Deluxe package will receive a complimentary petite maternity session!”
A petite maternity session takes place in my studio or on my property so it literally costs me nothing but time. Which may make it worth my time during slower months. Other incentives could be a percentage off a maternity session when booking a newborn session, 5 free prints, percentage off an album, etc.
NOTE: I would only offer it for booking my highest package!
Marketing doesn’t have to be extravagant! Just strategic! Take these 3 strategies and apply them to marketing your newborn photography business!
